Teenage Romance is difficuclt for students in junior high school and high school. In the book The serious kiss by Mary Hogan it talks about 2 girls to hatch a plan together a very serious kiss. They want to recieve this kiss before their freshmen year of high school. Apparently in junior high school, kissing is a big thing to girls in the 8th grade with drama to follow it.
In this book, their are times when drama unfolds open and happens all because of a serious kiss or something that leads into the serious kiss. Conclusions that I can make from this text already is to not rush your love life. People may say that age is just a number but it's more than that. It's a limitation of things you may do in your life. You can't smoke until you are 18 years old or older and you can't drink alcohol until you are 21 years old or older. So why would you want to rush the kiss of your life? When you finish your education and have a job to maintain your life than you should have that special kiss and be with that person the rest of your life.
I think the author is trying to explain about teenage love and how sometimes children might take it out of hand and find themselves in a big heap of trouble before they are even 18 years old. Mary Hogan also wanted to explain the difficulty of parent-child relationships when the parents find out about this, "serious kiss", and how it may affect the child's life. Everybody knows that their parents would kill them if they found out that they were dating at such a young age.
This theory may be at work anytime in the world. Teenage love may escalate before, during, and after school. Children might meet up before school starts and try to have an affectionate kiss, children may meet up between time to transfer classrooms and still rush the kiss, or children may meet up at a local hangout after school and really try and have a taste of what true love is really. If you do have a serious kiss at an early age, it may escalate more into more drama and cause you many problems in life. Love should be expressed at a certain time when you are old enough and mature enough to handle it no matter how the consequences are.
