Last blog post for coming of age-To kill a mockingbird #2

Being sexually harassed is horrible and a traumatic thing to happen to you. One of the characters in this book named Maya Ewell is the victim in this law case against sexual harasser Tom Robinson or Maya Ewell's father. There were beating in this situation and also black eyes were being thrown about to Ms. Maya Ewell.
By the state of Alabama, anybody under the age of 18 having sexual intercourse with some one 18 or older is considered rape.

Last summer I remember reading a newspaper on a raping of a 10 year old girl and a 33 year old man. The 10 year old girl was crossing the street by herself but a walking man grabbed her and tried to sexually assault her. Luckily, the girl screamed "rape" and "help". People heard those cries of a 10 year old girl and rescued her. Two men tackled the rapist down to the sidewalk  ground. Other people made a crowd and verbally assaulted the rapist  One woman grabbed out her cell phone and call 9-1-1. Within 10 minutes the police arrested the rapist and comforted the victim while she needed it.

In "To kill a mocking bird", by Harper Lee, the author does an amazing job in showing craftsmanship and dedication towards this book. It covers hard topics that are too painful to explain in words so Ms. Lee wrote them down in a book. Harrasment is one thing but the different kinds of harrasment are unbearable. There is verbal assault when you yell out horrible things to people. (Unfortunately this is not a crime). There is also two kinds of physical harrasment. There is assault+battery when you use your hands to hit someone and try and get what you want the wrong way and there is also sexual harassment which is when you try and invade people's sex organs or their private areas around them.

This book teaches so much to children, young adults, and even grown adults. It teachers children well because it talks about childhood relationships and on how they may affect you in a powerful way. It teaches young adults about crime in our world and on how it may build on to you if you get involved with the wrong people when you become older or currently. It teaches adults on how kids or young adults may have an affect on the current events that you are getting yourselves involved with or the situations. Finally, To kill a mockingbird is definitely about coming of age because it talks about what teenagers are going on now a days and also on how close people may have an affect on this time period of there's.
